Legal
Terms of Service
Effective: March 2026
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using Domla AI, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the application.
2. Nature of the Service
Domla AI is an AI-powered Islamic knowledge assistant. It is NOT a fatwa service and does not replace qualified scholars. All information is for educational purposes only. Users should consult qualified scholars for personal rulings. Your questions are processed by Google Vertex AI (artificial intelligence) to generate responses.
This system simulates structured fiqh reasoning but does not exercise independent ijtihad. It references curated classical scholarship and does not issue original legal rulings.
3. Accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You must verify your email address. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. One account per person.
4. Subscriptions & Auto-Renewal
Free tier: limited daily usage. Pro ($4.99/mo): expanded limits. Ultra ($99.99/mo): highest limits and priority features.
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each monthly billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your Apple ID or Google Play account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
To cancel: iOS: Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions > Domla AI > Cancel. Android: Google Play > Subscriptions > Domla AI > Cancel.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds for unused time. Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google per their policies.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: attempt to extract or reverse-engineer training data, use automated scraping tools, share account credentials, use the service for issuing fatwas or religious rulings, or attempt to circumvent usage limits or security measures.
6. Content & Accuracy
AI-generated responses may contain errors. Sources are provided for verification. Domla AI does not guarantee the accuracy of any response. Always verify important information with qualified scholars and authentic sources.
7. Intellectual Property & Database Copyright
The Domla AI service, including its AI models, curated datasets, and interface, is the proprietary property of Domla AI LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16535313, with registered office at 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom. All data contained within the Domla database, including the compiled, structured, and curated collection of texts, is copyrighted by Domla AI LTD. You may use AI-generated responses for personal study but not for commercial redistribution.
The Domla database is the result of extensive curation, restructuring, and scholarly filtering. While individual historical texts may be in the public domain, the selection, arrangement, structuring, and compilation of these texts into a searchable database constitutes an original work of authorship protected by copyright law.
8. Public Domain Position & Fair Use
It is Domla AI LTD's position that the historical Arabic and Persian texts contained in the Domla database, dating to 1344 AH (approximately 1925 CE) or earlier, are in the public domain. While there may be incidental copies made of surrounding materials when modern editions of historical texts are converted into machine-readable format, these will be excised from the text and deleted prior to public use.
Moreover, there are substantial factors weighing in favor of a finding of fair use under U.S. and British law, including the fact that the use is transformative and educational. As far as the compiled database is concerned, it is copyrighted by Domla AI LTD.
If you believe your copyright has been infringed, please contact: support@domla.ai
9. Data Sources & Acknowledgments
Domla AI acknowledges the following sources and their contributors. Each dataset has been curated, restructured, and filtered to include only content acceptable by Ahli Sunnah Wal Jama'ah scholarship:

All datasets have been substantially transformed, restructured, and curated for use within the Domla AI system.
10. Account Deletion
You may delete your account at any time from Settings > Danger Zone > Delete Account. Deletion is processed immediately and permanently removes your profile, chat history, memory data, and usage records. This action is irreversible. Active subscriptions must be cancelled separately through your device's app store settings.
11. Limitation of Liability
Domla AI is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for decisions made based on AI-generated content. Maximum liability is limited to the amount paid in the preceding 12 months. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights.
12. Copyright Complaints
If you believe that content made available through Domla AI infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to support@domla.ai containing: (a) identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed; (b) identification of the allegedly infringing material, with enough detail to locate it within the service; (c) your name, postal address, telephone number, and email address; (d) a statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; (e) a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf; and (f) your physical or electronic signature.
Notices that do not include all of the above may not be actioned. Knowingly submitting a materially false notice may result in liability for damages. We handle copyright complaints in accordance with the UK Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988, the Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002, and, where applicable, the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512). Counter-notices may be submitted in the same manner.
13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes) are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such dispute, except that if you are a consumer resident in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction whose mandatory consumer protection laws apply to you, you retain the benefit of any non-derogable rights granted by your local law and may also bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence.
Before starting any formal legal proceeding, you agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at support@domla.ai. We will aim to respond within 30 days. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr, although we prefer to resolve issues directly.
14. General Provisions
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable while preserving its intent, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Waiver. No failure or delay by Domla AI LTD to enforce any right or provision of these Terms is a waiver of that right or provision. Any waiver must be given in writing to be effective.
Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and Domla AI LTD regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
Translation. These Terms may be made available in multiple languages. In the event of any conflict or discrepancy between the English version and a translation, the English version controls.
Export & Sanctions. You represent and warrant that you are not located in, and are not a national or resident of, any country subject to a comprehensive embargo or trade sanction imposed by the United Kingdom, the European Union, the United Nations, or the United States, and that you are not listed on any restricted-party, denied-party, or sanctions list maintained by those authorities. You will not use the Service in violation of any applicable export control or sanctions law.
No Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms, by operation of law or otherwise, without the prior written consent of Domla AI LTD. We may assign these Terms at any time without notice. Any assignment in violation of this section is void.
No Agency. Nothing in these Terms creates any partnership, agency, joint venture, fiduciary, or employment relationship between you and Domla AI LTD.
Force Majeure. We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, war, terrorism, civil unrest, strikes, pandemics, internet or telecommunications failures, acts of governmental authorities, or failures of third-party service providers.
15. Changes
We may update these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the app or email, and where reasonably practicable at least 30 days before they take effect.
